Course Evaluation Procedures


1. Assignments

  • TESTS: Multiple Choice, True/False, Matching, Essay, etc.
  • QUIZZES: ANNOUNCED, but Random. A quiz will be on the previous day's class work and/or homework.
  • HOMEWORK: Several online assignments will be submitted via the Internet each marking period.
  • LAB EXPERIENCE: Preparation, Safety, Following procedures, Observations, Results, Drawing conclusions.
  • CLASSWORK: To be determined.
All assignments constitute 90% of the marking period grade.

2. QUARTERLY EXAM: A comprehensive, departmental exam.

Quarterly Exam constitutes 10% of the marking period grade.

QUARTER GRADE: The Quarter Grade is calculated by taking 90% of the Assignment points and adding that to 10% of the Quarterly Exam grade.

EXTRA CREDIT POLICY

Quite simply, there is NO extra credit. Your grade is based on the above criterion.
Extra credit denotes "over and beyond" normal expectations.
